The Story of the King and His Minister

Once upon a time, there was a king who ruled a prosperous country. One day, he decided to go for a trip to an area that was a bit far from hi palace. The hole trip took a day to complete. When he came back to his palace, he complained about the trip which had caused his feet to ache. "The road was rough and full of rocks and pebbles", he told his minister.

So, he instructed his people to cover every road of the entire country with leather. "That would be good for me, then I can walk to anyplace I wish", he was pleased with himself. Of course, his wise minister knew that it would cost the kingdom dearly, plus thousands of cows needed to be sacrificed so that they could process the skin.

So, he braved himself and went to see the king, "Your Highness, why do you have to spend an unnecessary huge sum of money? You will no visit all the areas in this kingdom all the time. Plus, everyone would be using the leathered road. It will be exhausted real fast. So, may I suggest something that would be much cheaper and it would be special only for you?" said the wise minister tactfully.

"Of course, carry on...", said the king.

"We could cut just a little piece of leather to cover your feet when you decide to travel. This way, the leather would be only for you and you could walk to any part of the kingdom with no problem", suggested the minister.

The king was pleasantly suprised with the brilliant idea and quickly instructed his people to make a 'shoe' for him.

End...

- kita selalu mengharapkan persekitaran kita berubah untuk menyelesaikan masalah kita..tapi kenapa bukan kita yang berusaha untuk menerima dan menyelesaikan masalah kita???
